Safeguard your personal data by only offering personal information or conducting financial transactions on verified, reputable, encrypted websites. Use strong passwords, but don’t use the same password for many accounts. Set password and encryption protections for wireless networks. Avoid phishing scams, and use security software. Last but not least, you should back up important files.
